As a swabian (these are a very special crowd of
germans from the Württemberg area) you have to wait until 40 to
get clever. Well, it's not the time yet for Stephan, but time is
running. But let's tell the story in the right sequencing.
Saturday we was on the house warming party of Carmit and Noam. They
moved in the same house where we're living. But no problem, there is
enough space in the house. It was really nice. As Stephan gave up
learning chinese, he is now figuring out, if learning scottish is
easier. You see him in an intensive trianing with John during the
party, ya dobber.
It's very common here to take the kids out to all events. If they get
tired they sleep somewhere. Lyiam by the way grew up in Tsing Tao, the
city with the most popular brewery in China. You've got only two
choices for beverage there: tea or beer and he doesn't like tea. By the
way, he doesn't like heinecken also....
And he has plenty of experience to keep a whole bunch of adults busy.
The night before we were all together out. Starting at a spanish
restaurant, moving to Harry's and as the rumor tells, some of us was
also in the barstreet. So it was a long evening this night till
midnight.
Stephan is now one year closer to get clever. Or in american words: 38
done, 2 to go. By the way, it's also a no good thing to spoil Prosecco.
If you do so, you have to clean up and people are not only watching.
But we washed our hands in innocence and kept celebrating. So we met
again the next morning for a nice brunch in the Kempinski hotel.
The Sunday brunch buffet is famous. Different kind of chinese,
european, german, japanese and some other dishes and all very
delicious.
Here a small fraction of the choices. There are also so exotical
specialities as gummi bears.
It was nearly not necessary to tell the hotel staff, that it's
Stephan's birthday. But after telling some people the Manager came and
brought a nice and real "Coka Cola Limited Shanghai World Exhibition
Gift Package 2010". Or in other words: a empty bottle of coke, 3 Pins
and a sack with the opening on th bottom. Tic, but nice anyway.
Did we told you, that there was also champagne included? And that some
Ladies from Wales manage to mix it with Orange juice?
The next weekend we planned a Single Malt Whiskey Night and a BBQ
party, but this is a completly different story.....
